I have never made an encrypted backup of any of my phones. I am considering doing so now, however, but only if certain things will in fact be backed up. I have a bunch of music on my phone. If I do encrypted backup, will that music automatically download to my new phone once I get one? How about my voice dream books? Kindle books? Another words, what do I gain, other than not having to reenter my password and Wi-Fi data if I do an encrypted backup? I haven't done an iTunes back up in ages. I assume there are no encrypted backups on iCloud. I certainly never seen the option.
