The idea of putting "group 1 or group 2" seems like a good one. I recently started changing businesses in my contacts to the name of the business in the first name field and then in the last name field writing business, type of business. That puts them all together under business first then the type second and the name of the specific business last, all in alphabetical order. When I use the company field it just puts it in among the rest of all the contacts.
This is an interesting question. I have wondered if there is a way to create folders within the contacts list for this exact reason.
