Just asking another question about this ...
Is the name you give your phone (so not the default) only used when you're
working with iTunes or would you have to reset it before getting info back
over the air from iCloud, for example?

Hi Kimber,
Did you do any sort of preparation before doing the update, e.g. backup your
phone, force quit all apps, perform a Reset all Network Settings? John's
suggestion to go to Settings > General > Reset and do a Reset All Network
Settings would also be my advice. Remember after your phone reboots you have
to reconnect again to your WiFi and enter the password. Following the simple
steps I outlined above can prevent most upgrade issues.
One last comment, if you have given your iPhone a custom name in Settings >
General > About you will have to enter that name again after a Reset All
Network Settings since that procedure will put the default name back.
Regards,
Sieghard

For how long? I've left the update process active for as long as 30
minutes and nothing changed.

Hi All,
Ever since I updated the iOS on my phone I am unable to update any of
my apps. When I open the app store I can see the list of available
updates, but when I tap the update button for an individual app I get
a connecting message but nothing more.
I have tried with several different apps. I have cleared the app
switcher, powered off the phone and powered it back on, all to no
avail.
Any ideas what might be going on?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
