Here in Mexico, for instance, with the exchange rate being 17 Mexican
Pesos in a US dollar, an IPhone 5S or above, ends up costing an
astounding $10000 Mexican! thus here in Mexico, either no choice but to
switch to the competition like I did, or stick with older models like 4S
etc.

rate, said phone should cost approx. $400 or just over here in Canada.
However, in order to get it Canadians have to plunk down $530 for the

Interestingly enough, if I buy a phone outright from Apple, the price
is very close to the US price by the time I factor in the normal
exchange.
It is definitely interesting how often features which Apple touts as
extremely awesome are also extremely limited in their availability.

Dear friends,
On 16th of Sept. IOS 9 got launched and one of the biggest features
that was being touted was the News app. I am sad to report that this
app (which should not cost anything extra to Apple or have any other
legal issues) is not available in India. I was looking forward to
it. I am sure India is also one of the markets that Apple is viewing
as its primary market and neither Apple maps nor apps like the News
apps are made available to Indian consumers. Having said this, it is
to be remembered that Apple does not charge nothing less than the
global price of Iphone or Ipad from its Indian consumers. I feel that
this is an important issue and should be conveyed to Apple through its
website as well as social media.
