Hi, i am from the UK. first of all, to my knowledge, Tesco doesn’t make it’s own phones, they are just a service provider.
So, it depends on the kind of handset you both have. For instance, if you both have iPhones, you can do iMessaging, which is free of charge, as long you both have an internet connection, or a dater plan. There also applications like viber and others, which are cross platform. Hope this helps a bit? Dave.
