Hi Ioana, That is the way I write my French accents. It still works on my 5S with IOS 9.0.1 but it seems to take longer to activate. If you hold the letter for at least 3 or more seconds, the alternatives will show up and sliding does work. Don't know if it will work on your 6 but it should since it works on my 5S.
