Hi Robert, You don't have to type the entire app name, Spotlight search will display search results as soon as you start typing and as you type more these results will continue to become less and less. However, keep in mind that Spotlight search does have a Settings area under "Settings", "General" and "Spotlight Search". Here you can turn on or off what should be searched, the available options are:
Contacts Applications Music Podcasts Videos Audio books Notes Events Mail Voice Memos Reminders Messages I believe by default everything should be turned on, but maybe in your case it isn't and this is why you didn't find the app you were looking for. Also keep in mind that the above order is most likely different on your iPhone, beside each of the above items is a "Reorder" button. You can double tap and hold it, then drag your finger up or down on the screen (don't lift it after the double tap and hold). Search results will be displayed in whichever order you set here. For example, I have an app on my phone called "Bell TV" which is from my satellite provider here in Canada and I also have the CTV app which is made by Bell as it is one of their public channels. I also have 2 contacts, one for "Bell Canada" and one called "Randy Bell". Lastly, I do have lots of songs with Bell in the title so if I do a search for "Bell" I first see the 2 contacts listed, then I see the 2 apps and following that is a list of all the songs that have "Bell" anywhere in the title. When I only input Poppa the list view stayed empty. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amy Ruell" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, August 18, 2012 5:15 AM Subject: RE: Help!
