Hi, email passwords and Apple ID passwords are not the same thing at
all. In fact, it would be a bad idea to make the passwords the same. So,
just because the iPod and receive email just fine, it has zero to do
with the Apple ID portion. Perhaps that's the password which needs to be
fixed or updated.
