I like apple maps in Oslo. Announce the names of the streets it want you to turn into, recalculate route, updates distance to turn live as you walk if you tuch the right place on the screen. Need to practice at home using the user interface. If you have started a route walking, but turn off the apple maps, it automatically startes in that route. There is a button top left of the screen you need to hit with double tap immediately after starting the app to cancel the route in IOS 8.
