My inclination is to find the navigation key combination to take you to the top of the screen, the thing the Home button used to do on PC's; then use the quicknav up/down arrows keypress to activate the back button from there. i've not tried the del button on the other top corner, I know that acts as Back in some PC environments, and some of that appears even in iOs, though never sure which will, or won't, work.
