I am sorry if you read this twice, but I also posted it to a facebook group.
I certainly know this topic has been discussed here before, but I am
wondering again what case do you use for your iphone or ipad?
I have been using Otterbox defender case since 2011 when I got my first
Iphone 4, I also got Otterbox defender for my Ipad mini and for Iphone
6. I have been very satisfied with it so far, but many people keep
complaining on Otterbox facebook page, many people say that the rubber
part is stretched out after very short time of use (a month or two).
Unfortunately, I have experienced it with Otterbox for Iphone 4 and
having all the same with Iphone 6 and I really do not like it. But what
makes me really upset is the fact that otterbox claim their defender
cases are one of the best cases protecting phones, but lately, many
people are very frustrated and they say that when they phones drop even
from a table, in many situations it happens that the case screen
protector is allright, but the phone screen itself is shattered. I am
not saying I drop my iphone or ipad every day, but accidents might
happen and I'd rather have my iphone protected than having to get a new
screen (display). I dropped Iphone 4 a few times, but nothing has
happened. I also dropped my Iphone 6 on the grass once since I got it in
April and Everything seems to be allright, I have been doing my best to
be more careful but reading all complaints on Facebook makes me more
worried.
The otterbox defender cases are quite expensive for me, so it is
impossible to buy one every year. Another thing is that Otterbox
defender is not available here in Slovakia, so I must order it from
abroad and paying extra shipping fees which is sometimes 30 dollars is
quite much.
So does anyone know of any case, something like Otterbox defender which
protect the phone the same way or even better? I also use an external
battery, so being able to plug the battery when case is on the phone is
a must. I do not want a case with battery built-in, I haven't found out
any that would protect the phone in similar way like Otterbox does, I
mean having a screen protection film and a rubber part, but if there is
something like that available and having built-in battery, please let me
know.
I hope I will hear many opinions, suggestions and ideas what cases you
use and what you think about otterbox.
