There is also a possibility for operator error, as the device is fussy about
how the fingers are placed, and how hard the taps must be.

I have noticed the same behavior on my iPhone6s. I now use the end button as
you mentioned. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

I am running iOS 9.02 on my iPhone 6 Plus. When I try to use to finger
double tap to hang up a phone call, it also starts my 00 tunes app or
my tune in radio app which ever I have used last. Then, two finger
double tap will not turn off the ooTunes or the tune in radio. Is
anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do about it?
