I got inspired to finally order a battery for my IPhone 4S that I can use
for extra power on the go. I was torn between two of them, the one listed
today from Verbatim on 1SaleADay.com, and one I found searching on Amazon
called the Anker Astro III. They both have 10,000 mah of current in them,
but the Anker is physically smaller according to the specs. Also, I got
scared by the fact that the Verbatim has a "dedicated IPad port", not sure
if that meant I could fry my 4S if I plug into that instead of the
undesignated USB on it. Has anyone tried the Ankor Astro batteries with
their IDevices? Do you need to turn on a switch or something to use them?
The only switch I found mentioned in Amazon's description is some switch to
go between 9 and 12 volts for something, which may be a third DC out jack
I'd probably never use. I figured that with this thing being fairly close in
price to others, I'd go for it, but has anyone had good luck with them? The
Anker company or whoever they are is spelled A N K E R, how it sounds, not
like the thing you throw over the boat to hold it still.
