Debbi, I wonder if you aren't trying too hard for accuracy when you type with fleksy. That was my problem when I first got the app and it still happens occasionally when I think too hard about where I'm tapping on the screen.
Try simple sentences at first for practice. Type quickly not waiting to hear the letters as you go. And don't get discouraged.
