On a braille display (at least on the Focus braille displays), it's
dots1-2+space, or b-chord. (This isn't the same as pressing the Back button.
You must navigate to that, then double-tap it - dots3-6+space.)

iPhone, especially when I'm trying to get through a lot of e-mail reading or
composition. So I have an observation and a question. Others may have said
this already but it bears repeating: the focus bug seems to occur when I'm
exiting a message thread. Even using a scrub gesture, I gon't return to the
expected location in the message list. How would I do a scrub gesture using
keystrokes on my BrailleNote or any other Braille display?

A scrub gesture, the best way I can describe it, is assorters Z shape
done with two fingers rather quickly.
