Go into Settings, Mail, contacts, calendars, and go down to the default alert option. Double tap on that and then double tap on events, and you can set the default alert to none, time of event, 5 minutes before, 15 minutes before, 30, 1 hour, 2 hour, 1 day, 2 days, 1 week. Then, if you have calendar alerts set to on in notifications, you will get an alert. You can also ask Siri, what is my schedule for November 1 first, etc. Richard
