Last year I switched from a 4S to a 6, for the first few days I had problems hitting the right places. I tend not to flick if I am familiar with the application, my fingers have learned where to go for what I need which is a time saver. When I first started on the 6 I had to relearn but now I am pretty good. I just don't feel that I need to flick through every item on the screen to get where I need to be. New apps yes, those I don't use often yes but for things I do daily, no way unless there is something new I need to flick to find out.
Typing was a bit slower for the first few days also, but when I switch to the iPad mini my late husband bought for me in 2013, I really have problems finding the right keys. I keep it in Portrait mode as landscape was just too odd for me to work with. The iPad is definitely more sensitive than either my phones have been. This took me a while to get used to.
