Hi Kerri, I use the CBC News app as well, but mostly just to read whichever news articles interest me. Could you describe a bit more where exactly you go or used to go in the app and I'll take a look.
By the way, you should contact CBC and complain that as the main public broadcaster in Canada their mandate should include perfect accessibility both on their website as well as in their app and that especially the app needs some fixes. I find it particularly annoying that once I double tap on an article and touch near the bottom to find the "Main Story", I basically have to just let Voiceover read, I can navigate character by character or word by word, but there is no line option in the rotor once you are in that main story area and you also can't swipe through the story so that Voiceover would maybe read sentence by sentence. This means it's almost impossible to read a particular word or name deep in the article letter by letter unless you turn the rotor to words, but who wants to swipe 200 times to get way down into a long article. Also, if I am listening as Voiceover is reading an article and an email or SMS comes in, then this notification is read and I have to start all over again. For the most part the app is not so bad, but navigating an article sucks and is for the most part not possible. I should be able to turn the rotor to lines an d also swipe through the article. It worked fine until IOS 9.1 came out. Before, we could see the link for our local news but now we do not see it until after the news has been broadcast. Are we doing something wrong? I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, checked notifications, tried to find help on CBC site, all to no avail. thanks for any help.
