The following is my own speculation, I have never read or heard this from an
official source. I imagine the reason they did away with the ability to
hang up calls with the power button on the 6 and later is because the power
button is now on the side, rather than the top, making it too easy to hang
up a call by mistake. Although I rarely used it, I wish I still had the
power button option as an option in settings. Being that the two-finger
double tap is not reliable on my 6, I have long since gotten use to double-
or split tapping the end call button, which is on the screen, just above the
home button. I am now enough use to using it that I can hit it even in
noisy environments where I can't hear VoiceOver very well to guide me.
