Hello listers,

I have just received the DexCom G5 Mobile CGM (continuous glucose monitoring)
system for checking blood glucose levels via using the included sensor, and
the bluetooth transmitter. . The bluetooth connectivity allows you to send the
glucose to your iPhone wirelessly. It will read your blood glucose every 5
mins.I am proud to say that it is fully accessible with VoiceOver. Yes, there
are some oddly labeled buttons in the app. The most important thing is that
VoiceOver can see the current glucose level. You have to calibrate the system
twice a day. The screen that you add blood glucose numbers to is fully
accessible and to my surprise even uses the touch typing feature of the number
dial pad. For more information about the system please go to
http://dexcom.com <http://dexcom.com/>
I just wanted to let all of the hopeful iOS users know that the app is very
usable with VoiceOver. The company even has a pretty good understanding about
the accessibility features of the iPhone. If you have any questions about the
system that are not related to the iPhone app please feel free to send me an
email off list. [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
