I was speaking of the iPHone. I use a Windows computer so I can’t help on playlists on the Mac.

When you have named your playlist and double tap on the add songs button, when you get to an album title you want to add, simply flick up with one finger and it will say “add song to playlist.” Double tap and that entire album is now added to the playlist.
