I suppose such an event as this may be hardline in a shift in output 
connectivity much as the 1/8” jack eventually overwhelmed the 1/4” audio jacks. 
 Personally, I tend to look forward to innovation — especially when it promises 
to offer improvement over the current state of the art.    `
