Hello Sean,

First, let me applaud you for exploring Windows 10 with the iCloud control
Panel.

Second, let me assure you that Office 2007 Enterprise works perfectly well with
the iCloud Control Panel.

Third, it is very important that you understand what the iCloud Control Panel
for Windows does and does not do.

The thumbnail summary is that iCloud Control Panel does not provide for the
conveyance of iCloud mail, in Outlook. Now that may sound funny and some will
argue that it is not so, however, as someone who has been using the iCloud
Control Panel since its inception, I can tell you that I speak the truth.

When all is working as it should, iCloud Control Panel will ad your iCloud
Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks to one Outlook profile, only.

If you want to send and receive iCloud mail, you must setup your iCloud email
account in Outlook 2007 just as you would any iMap account; this is to say
independently from iCloud Control Panel. IN order to do this you will need to
know your username, password, and incoming and outgoing iCloud server names.
You may obtain the correct iCloud server configuration settings for Outlook
2007 via a quick Google search.

It does not matter which Outlook profile you associate with the control panel
as it is separate from the email protocol. Consequently, successfully signing
into the iCloud Control Panel in no way means that you have signed into your
iCloud email account.

So, for example, you could have it such that when you launch Outlook both your
iCloud mail is displayed along with all of your iCloud items such as Calendar
events and Contacts but you could also elect, as I do, to have Outlook launch
showing emails from a non-iCloud account while still displaying the iCloud
Contacts, Calendars, etc.

The point is that, in Outlook 2007 for Windows, the email functionality is
completely separate from the iCloud Control Panel functionality.

Mark

Subject: iCloud keeps rejecting Password For SMTP server

Hi all. I don't know what to do. Today I installed Windows 10 on my old 2010
polycarbon MacBook so I can practice getting used to it if businesses
transition to it and also a friend of mine has it so I wanna get to know it
better so I can help her. Anyway, I installed my copy of Microsoft Office
Enterprise 2007 and downloaded the latest version of iCloud. When I try to send
messages, I get this dialog to enter the password for [email protected] or some
crap like that. I enter my password and it keeps popping up that password
dialog box. So that's telling me that it's rejecting my username and password.
Any way to fix this?
