I found this very useful because I was having difficulties with the volumes
myself. I think, my main problem is with music and is wanting to listen to
Voice-over from time to time at the same time as keeping the music going. I
don't find the audio ducking feature to be very good. At the best I would
describe it as something like you get when you have an automatic volume level
set on a recorder and I find I don't enjoy the experience of listening to the
voice and music at the same time so I'm forced to pause the music. Any further
advice for this particular situation would be most welcome. I would quite like
to see audible beeps at certain points (A little like the way the Victor Reader
Stream operates) so that you know exactly how far the volume is without having
to listen for the announcements. Perhaps this is a little over the top, but I
would fancy trying it! :)

Thanks!

Hi,
It sounds like your Voiceover volume is too high. This is not to be confused
with your phone's overall master volume that you control with the volume
buttons on the side of your phone. Use your volume buttons on the side of the
phone to turn the master volume all the way up. Then, to avoid distortion in
Voiceover, go to the volume control in the rotor and reduce the volume to the
level that you want, perhaps anywhere between 80 and 90 percent. As you do
this, Voiceover should become less fuzzy or the distortion may disappear
altogether. Finally, and this is important, go to Settings > Sounds and turn
Change With Buttons to Off. Your ringer and alert sounds will remain exactly
as you've set them and won't be affected when you use the side volume controls;
the buttons will only affect Voiceover and/or music/video output volumes.
Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Tom
