Hi!
I'll try to answer some of your questions.
I don't use Bookshare so I wouldn't know if is it working or
not and you could check Applevis to see if there's some
podcast on VDR.
1. VDR has the language auto detection, not voice detection.
If you browse VDR Settings/Manage my voices you can there
buy/install language voices and if you have multiple voices
for single language, you can set the prefered voice for that
language plus set the default speed, pitch and volume for
every single voice. Defaults set here are applied on every new
book opening.
For instance, if you set American English Heather as prefered
voice for English with 300 words per minute, pitch on 80 and
volume on 50% every newly opened book in English language will
open with Heather, 300 wpm and pitch 80 and volume 50%.
You can change those setings on the fly while listening the
book but the changes apply only on the book you're listening
at the moment.
2. VDR doesn't read books directly from DropBox or any other
cloud service. Every book is downloaded and converted to some
VDR internal format and you can read it while offline.
3. You can edit/select the books directly in VDR and you can,
amongst other things, delete selected titles. VDR has basic
iTunes support for transfering books via cable from PC or Mac
but it doesn't use iTunes library.
Merry Christmas to you too and congrats on the nice present.
VDR for iOS is the best ten bucks I ever spent.

Merry Christmas to everyone! For which Santa brought ny very paid IPhone app: Voice dream Reader! For which I wonder if can one browse and download Bookshare books? Or what's the purpose of as I already did, setting up one's Bookshare within the Voice Dream Reader App?
Also has any of you recorded an audio demo on Voice Dream Reader? I want to get the most out of it! Yes I worked with the sample book provided, but among the questions aside from the browsing/downloading of books mentioned above
1-Some way to override Voice Dream's automatic detection, allowing one to manually set the book's reading voice to the correct language? Vecause the sample book is in Spanish, but Voice Dream reads it in English. And yes I've got Voice Dream Reader st of to for now while find a Spanish voice I like, to when encounterring Spanish texts, to use VO's default voice, and for English, to use the provided Heather voice, thus to discard the not having the Spanish voice.
2-Lastly for those books grabbed from our Dropbox (yes I too set up Dropbox with Voice Dream), if no Internet is available, can one continue reading the book within Voice Dream?
3-And finally (I just thought of it), how does one delete books off Voice Dream, taking into account Apple's inability to interact with iOS's file system?
Thanks in advance for any useful tips and tricks as well as resolving the above questions.
