The explanation under setting in Gmail is good for that part of it. Outlook
2007 puts all the Gmail folders in a separate folder. I didn't realize that
this was the case and that the emails didn't go to the normal inbox.

Hi,
I can use GMail with IMAP on my iPhone and it works beautifully, but, for
some reason, in Outlook 2007 on my Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 home
premium it's a bust for me. Last time I fiddled with this, which was maybe
a month ago, I had a hell of a time configuring Outlook for GMail with IMAP
and it just wouldn't happen. I finally just put the matter aside for a
while until somebody could give me the proper settings. If anybody has the
right settings for Outlook, IMAP and GMail, drop me a line or two off-list,
please. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Tom
