Hi. I did some investigating, and I got half of two questions to work. I'll give the good news first, then the bad news.
First for the good news. I figured out how to read the serial number on my Apple TV 4 Gen by character. You first turn the roter to explore, flick up and down to read what's on the screen by elements, and once you get to the serial number, turn the roter to words, flick down to get past the words "serial number", turn the roter to characters, then flick up and down to read the serial number. The only thing that VoiceOver doesn't do is to give the phonetic of letters, alpha for A, as an example. Once you have finished reading the serial number, or whatever you want, turn the roter to navigate so you can flick around the screen and be able to activate items. Now for the bad news, and this concerns the NFL app. Once I figured out how to navigate on the screen, I went back into the NFL app and got to where the activation code is displayed. I could navigate to it, but VoiceOver doesn't say anything for the characters. Oh well. I'll wait for sighted help to get it working, unless someone has another idea.
