You should be able to see the iPhone like a usb stick only the photos and videos you take will be accessible that way. Try rebooting the computer while the iPhone is plugged in. A popup should appear on your iPhone asking if you want to trust this computer. Make sure you double tap on trust this computer. But, to do anything beyond copying pictures, you will need to install iTunes. Richard
