hi,
I don't seem to be having much success with these camera apps here today.
having scored a resounding zero with talking goggles, I tried a I Polly. about
two times in every 10 I get some sort of generally acceptable result. most of
the time, however, I hear "I'm not sure". what really gets me is the lag. I
hold the camera to look in One Direction and wait, nothing happens, I move the
camera and try again somewhere else, only to find that, sometimes, I get a
result from the previous shot. basically, this makes this app useless to
investigate ones surroundings, because you can have no sense of what is where.
has anyone else been watching the demonstrations with Google Glass, velacents
or orcam? either they are falsely representing themselves or they really can
respond in real time. when I first heard of AI Polly, yesterday, I thought "at
last!"but, unless I am doing something seriously wrong, this is a great
disappointment. for me, it is actually quicker and more accurate to use
CamFind. I am hoping that this app will improve with time, but I'm not going to
hold my breath… is anyone else having better success? Because if you are, I
would love to hear it.

Sandy
