it is free. really, it is a product identifier, but very useful for general object recognition it also does a pretty good job at identifying colours/patterns et cetera. however, it is not like the others, it does not use a video mode, instead, you take still pictures and they are sent off to the cloud to be identified. are use it all the time in the kitchen to identify packets herb jars and stuff from the fridge. it isn't an OCR, that is, it doesn't read for you, but, rather, it recognises the object. so, it is very good at recognising, for example, not only is CD case, but also a CD itself, so long as the CD is printed upon. it says it is also a barcode reader, but I have never managed to get that to work. it has other functionality such as streaming and voice, but, again, I haven't managed to explore this functionality. if any of these other apps could work as well as camfind, but in real time, without the need to upload the photo, then they would really be cooking with gas! do you try it!
