Considering it's January such rumours to me are mostly link bait. However, there are definitely a lot of rumours around dropping the 3.5mm audio jack. As for waterproofing I wouldn't be surprised if apple offered some sort of waterproof rating on the iPhone 7. They have already quietly done stuff to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus to make it highly water resistant. iFixIt has discovered all sorts of seals around the ports and the touch screen and I heard on a Podcast that somebody dropped an iPhone 6s into a bowl of water for half an hour and it was on all the time and working fine when it was pulled out. I wouldn't want to try and repeat the experiment especially since my insurance just paid for me to replace my lost iPhone 6S and they may not be so generous if I registered another claim *smile*. Anhyhow, the fact is that apparently the 6S and 6S Plus are very water resistant yet apple has not mentioned this at all. In my opinion they have done this to see what sort of warranty claims they get where water damage is a factor and that this maybe some sort of quiet real-world test before they officially make a claim about a certain level of water resistance. I think it certainly is possible to achieve this, after all, all Garmin handheld GPS units have an IPX-7 rating which means they can be submerged under 1 metre of water for up to one hour without any damage. As for wireless charging I believe that when they announce it, it's not like Apple has a huge history of offering that and, for that matter, neither is it a dominant feature with Samsung, Motorola, LG, HTC etc; at least not as far as I know. The problem with wireless charging is that it is always slower and other companies who offered it like Nokia in some of their first Lumia devices after Microsoft got involved have dropped it again. I couldn';t care less about it, after all, now I have to bring just a cable, if there were wireless charging I'd have to have a cable plus whatever charging pad or stand there is. Also, right now I can plug in my phone and use it while it is plugged in and charging, if it's sitting on a wireless charging cradle or pad I'd have to leave it alone unless maybe I could use it without moving it at all.
