For curated radio, it depends on the genre. For example, JazzRadio.com has its own app. Also, there is the Radium and OOTunes apps along with the Internet only stations found on tuneIn Radio.
The Spotifys and Pandoras along with Apple Music are taking over the Internet music world. There is always loading up your favorite music to iTunes and syncing it to your iPhone.
