I was going to stay out of this thread, but as someone who works in the
rehabilitation field I think too many people are making  rather sweeping
generalizations.
I have clients in their 80's happily using iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches.
I have clients in their 40's who cannot grasp the concept of a touch screen
and stick with designated blindness related devices.

There are always going to be a segment of the population who can't use smart
phones, and there are going to be people who simply prefer not to, but that
has nothing to do with age.

If anyone has something to say about my comments, please write me directly
