Well, this has some sense but...
With native Braille KB I constantly have to switch the rotor between the keyboard and he edit field to keep the eye on what I write.
Continuing on the previous, I can't edit the text using the keyboard, I need to do it in he usual way with the standard virtual keyboard.
And the last, native Braille keyboard doesn't support my language so I'm not able to type specific diacritic characters plus the punctuation and prefixes are not the same.
I use the native Braille for quick replies from the lock screen and similar stuff but when I want to type something more complex than that I use MBraille in app mode and use dot commands or copy paste to enter the text where it belongs.
MBraille is quite usable in the demo mode with some workarounds and it's not necessary to pay for it.

S poštovanjem
Gordan Radić

Hi,

Yep, save your money, avoid the bugs and stick to the default braille keyboard, at least it works as advertised.

MBraille is more work than the standard keyboard to get in and out of, but it does have some nice features which would be nice if the app actually worked as advertised. for Example being able to read what you have written with out dismissing the keyboard and spell check as you type. Also being able to type basic emogies from the braille keyboard is also nice. However, given the cost of the app, the lack of support and the fact the iOS braille is now quite good and accurate, I would save your dollars and just learn the native braille keyboard.

Cheers,
Brett.

How does it require extra work? I suppose it might if you're using it as a stand alone app, and you don't get any benefits out of all of it's features, but since it's also available as a 3rd party keyboard, I don't see where the extra work is.

Hello,
OK, thanks. Unfortunately, this defeats the purpose of MBRAILLE for me, since it would require additional work. Thanks for getting back, though. Time to go back to the default braille keyboard!

No. You either type the text, then use an item in the menu or one of the many dot commands to send it. Alternatively, you use it as a third party keyboard, directly or indirectly type the text, then do whatever you want with it.

You download the MBraille app for free, and you can  use the keyboard to input both contracted and uncontracted Braille and send your text to either Messages or Twitter. As for the third party keyboard, only uncontracted Braille can be used, most of the editing features are disabled.

Yes, I know that, but I don't really like that either. I think that MBraille is more accurate. However I am using both because I have to do something and it pens what I'm doing which are use.

Thanks for the idea. Already got it!

Yes, I do use both the MBraille and the Apple supplied on-board keyboard. I love MBraille a lot, in fact most days. I think it is more accurate than the Apple on-board keyboard. Maybe, though, that is a user perspective and the errors could be mine!

I am not too keen on using it as an extra keyboard, because it's a bit tricky to use it in this way, because of the other keyboards that are already installed. I wish it could be on the rotor! Anyway, I quite often use the old method too, so I can open the app and then cut and paste accordingly, because in some ways it is easier and I like it better! What I do like is to have proper key clicks when typing. I'm afraid this is one of the disappointments of the Braille app by Apple which you can include on the rotor. By the way, I use the "away mode" ” because it's the only thing that really works for me. I can't imagine becoming proficient with anything other than this..

If you have any further questions, do come back. I hope this is helpful! Carol P
