As for me the iPhone has better sound than the iPod. This is important as I am hearing impaired in both ears so need something that does not sound tinny and soft. The iPhone has a better camera than the iPod. The iPhone has an in-built GPS which the iPod does not. The iPhone can use cellular service which the iPod cannot. These are just some advantages.
