Hi Kimi, I don’t think, that this is a matter of people Moaning and Groaning!
It was just simply a feature request! This new feature, doesn’t in any way affect, anyone who doesn’t wish to use it! If Nick, didn’t think, this request was valid and reasonable, i am sure, he wouldn’t have implemented it! So, all i can say, that it is good, we have App Developers, like Nick, who care enough, to listen to there users. Take care, Dave.
