Hello again, everyone.

Upon further study, I now realize that the "unread counts" badge in
the Mail app actually does work with VoiceOver, but its messages are a
bit confusing.  To illustrate, let's use the example of six unread
messages in the Inbox.  If the badge is set to "on," VoiceOver reads
"six unread emails," but if the badge is turned off, VoiceOver says
"no unread emails."  A family member tells me that there is no "X
unread emails" displayed on the screen when the badge is turned off.
I would rather that VoiceOver speak nothing than speak the confusing
"no unread emails" announcement.  This is a very trivial point, I
know, but I just wanted to set the record straight.
