Hi!
Personally I use Thunderbird. It works very well with Jaws and NVDA. It is bit complicated to set it up, there are tones of options and settings but once it's done, you have a client for a lifetime. I prefer TB because I can back it up and restore on any other machine in a matter of seconds with each and every mail, address and option I ever set right there. This is a third machine I'm using Thunderbird on and the settings are from the first one.
Talking about thunderbird and it's settings is way out of topic here so I will just mention some other clients.
There's always a MS Outlook, it is integrated in every MS Office suite and you can choose between MS Outlook XP to MS Outlook 2016 for installing on Windows 7. In my opinion, it is harder to set it up than Thunderbird.
There's also something called Windows Live Mail and it can be downloaded in the Windows Essentials package free of charge. This app is most similar to the old Outlook Express from the Windows XP and earlier Windows.
There's something called Outlook Express for Windows 7 but this is unofficial work from some private developers. It is a combination of old OE and the new Windows Live Mail.
There's also a hacked Windows Mail from Windows Vista which can be installed on Windows 7 but this really sucks big time.

Hello everyone,

I am sorry to ask this question, as I realize it is a bit off topic.
However, I do not know where to ask such a question.
Are you a Gmail account, and sometimes check email on my phone. But I now have a computer, and I would like to check the email on the computer or more, then I would on the phone.
However, I don't know a free program to use. I have tried Thunderbird, and I like it all right. However I have some problems with it.
For instance, I have a lot of email in my account. And I do mean a lot! I cannot seem to get Thunderbird to read my messages in order, no matter what I do. I want it to read the name of the sender first, then the date. But I can't seem to change more than one radio button, for it to do this does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do?

If not, are there other free programs out there that would work with Windows 7, and NVDA?

Thank you very much!

Carrie
