Sorry to reply to the same message twice, but in certain apps, such as e-mail and safari, they seem to appear by default, just because I'm using a Bluetooth keyboard, also on the home screen this happens. It's unbelievably frustrating, as there doesn't seem to be any option anywhere to stop it.
