Just tried, and true, 80% with Alex used to be much much quicker.
While I don't use Alex, I don't agree with the change.

The Alex voice used to speak much faster than other voices. In
this version, it speaks at the same rate as the others. To make
that happen, it was made slower. Just change the speaking rate
to what is comfortable, and everything will be fine.
