I can see the iPhone SE being the entry iPhone and the bigger phones being the featured products. Which means that it may take awhile before 3D Touch is included on the smaller phone, since Apple wants to attract people to the larger phones. Plenty will buy the small ones, but plenty more will hold out for the fall release of the iPhone too. This all depends on what Apple announces and chooses to do, but it makes sense.
