The USB port on the Jambox and Big Jambox is strictly for charging and for connecting it to your computer for updating firmware or download features like different voices etc. It does not become a USB audio device if connected to a computer. The only way to send a signal to the speaker is via Bluetooth or the 3.5mm audio input.
