Don,
When you go into the pass code settings, you have to enter the pass code.
Once in there, you should find an option to turn off the pass code, which you 
will have to verify again probably with the pass code.
Once you wade through all that you will be done with the pass code and anyone 
who picks up the phone will have full access to it.
