If I tap the Sort button and select Author, the library of all items does rearrange itself, reflecting the alphabetical order of the authors. If I start typing the author name into the search field, the table of results starts rearranging itself but is obviously looking for the word as I type it but looking only in the titles, because as soon as enough letters are typed into the search field for VDR to realize it can't find a match, the table of results goes blank.
