Hi Don, I find it easiest to go into "Edit" and "Preferences" in iTunes, then go to the Stpore tab and check to automatically download books, music and apps. You can, of course, just check, for example, music. You can do the same on your phone in the Settings under Store and that way it doesn't matter whether you purchase something on your phone or on the computer, whatever you purchased will also be downloaded on the other device.
