the important thing with the Chromecast is to make sure the app you want to “cast” to the tv supports the Chromecast and is voice Over accessible. Last time I checked, none of apple's iOS apps support the Chromecast. There are other third party apps on iOS that work with the Chromecast though like Netflix. Look online for a list of iOS apps that support the Chromecast. I personally feel the apple TV is the better way to go if you are heavily invested in the apple ecosystem and prefer to buy and rent movies and music through apple. However, if you only want to cast Netflix and google’s media one may be satisfied with the more economical Chromecast.
