Perhaps I'm missing something. I don't think I ever had that problem. Now, if you have people in your contacts that you have copied along with the VIPhone list, the app could be remembering that they are part of a group. If you do reply all, this could be what is happening. I have a contact for VIPhone list which I think helps.
