Hi Jed, As Joseph pointed out, if it is an Exchange or Exchange Active Sync account you can set the "fetch" option to Push which means as soon as an email is received on the server it is pushed to your phone. Otherwise I believe the smallest fetch interval you can set is 15 minutes. The actual notification, however, has nothing to do with whether you have set it up with Push or using a time interval. Even if you fetch your mail only once an hour you can still be notified, it just may not be for a while. How you will be notified is controlled in Settings > Notifications > Mail. Here you can select each account you have, set a unique notification sound for each account and specify whether you want notifications to be included in the Notification Center, visible on the lock screen and also whether you want notifications to show up as alerts or banners.
