A 2-finger swipe down in the Fleksy spacebar keyboard area will switch to the Fleksy minimal keyboard. This gesture will also insert a new line so you might immediately want to swipe left to delete that inserted line. Your second question about initiating a search after entering text is more problematic. What happens with the standard Ios keyboard when doing one of these searches is that the bottom right button turns into a search button for execution when you exit the text input field. I find both the Fleksy spacebar and minimal keyboards deficient in this operation since i think neither does this search button conversion. So, I've gotten in the habit of returning to the standard Ios keyboard when searching in an app. This requires a two finger swipe up in the minimal keyboard to switch to the spacebar one followed by pressing the button to the left of the spacebar to switch to the iOS keyboard. If you're using the default spacebar Fleksy keyboard, there is a button immediately to the left of the spacebar that should allow you to switch to the standard keyboard. What is presented with this button depends on your Fleksy keyboard settings so you might have to rest your finger on that button and slide to hear the options it presents. If you're using the minimal Fleksy keyboard, you'll need to do a two-finger swipe up in the keyboard area to switch to the Fleksy spacebar keyboard where you can access that button to the left of the spacebar.
