Hi Keith,

Since her Apple ID is probably her email address, it would be good if she can 
continue to use it. Maybe she could contact the store that set up the phone and 
see if there's a standard password that they use when helping people set up 
accounts. If she didn't set up two-factor authentication, I think she can also 
request a password reset at
appleid.apple.com
